BTR INTERFACE

A Behind the Tape Reader Interface is known as a "BTR
".  The BTR interface enables a computer to download program data electronically thru an RS-232C communications interface.  This interface eliminates the use of a Punched Tape Reader and the multitude of devices and problems associated with them.

This electronic platform enables the loading of data via RS232.

Data can be transmitted and;

  • Stored to BTR memory
  • Stored to CNC memory

  • Drip fed to the CNC

Data stored in the BTR memory is modifiable using the E-Terminal device as shown at left.

A FACIT interface (option) is available to convert "parallel" signals into "serial" signals allowing existing tape based programs to be converted using the tape reader output thru the RS-232 interface.
